Bio:
Kibwe Dorsey was born October 24, 1974 in Yonkers, New York to the late Garfield Dorsey Jr. and Mildred P.L. Dorsey (Still Living). The middle child of seven, Kibwe grew up listening to and admiring the phenomenal singing voices of both his parents.
He credits without question his abilities, talents, and grooming to his mother who was operatically trained and his father who was a member of an up and coming singing group in the "Duop Era".
His love affair with acting began when his mentor and accomplished actor Sydney Morgan Jr. asked him to play the role of "Detective Sampson" in Morgan's original stage play "To Lose Is to Gain". Though this theatrical opportunity would spark a new romance in Kibwe's life, he was no stranger to the entertainment and art worlds. Kibwe to would venture into the music world as a vocalist performing on such records as the Columbia released (Certified Gold Single) "No Pigeons" before being bit by "The Acting Bug".
Kibwe's credits include "100 Tears" (Detective Spalding), "Pawn'd" starring Brett Rice (Officer Yates), "A Patriot Act" (The Interrogator), "Recount" starring Kevin Spacey (Police Officer), and "Sandrima Rising" (Grozyc the Wookie and Olak Tor).... Read MoreRead Less
